Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Mi-CPID services, orders, and your account.

General

Mi-CPID is a professional IMEI Certificate Delivery Service for Xiaomi devices. We provide authorised certificate files that device repair professionals use to restore the original IMEI data on Xiaomi (Mi/Redmi/POCO/Poco) devices whose IMEI has been corrupted, erased, or lost due to hardware failure, firmware issues, or unauthorised modifications.

We serve repair shops, technical resellers, and certified engineers worldwide who need a reliable and fast certificate delivery pipeline.

IMEI restoration legality varies significantly by country. In many jurisdictions, restoring a device's original factory IMEI by an authorised repair professional is permitted. However, changing, cloning, or falsifying an IMEI is illegal in many countries, including the UK, USA, EU member states, India, Turkey, and many others.

It is your sole responsibility to ensure your use of our certificates complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction. We provide certificates exclusively for restoring original, factory-issued IMEIs. We do not support any unlawful activity. Please review our Terms of Service for full details.

Mi-CPID currently supports a wide range of Xiaomi devices including Mi, Redmi, POCO, and Poco series. Our database is continuously updated as new models are released.

For a complete and up-to-date list of supported models, please visit our Supported Models page. If you cannot find your device, contact us — we may be able to add support.

Getting started is simple:

  • Register a free account at our portal.
  • Purchase credits via cryptocurrency payment.
  • Submit a certificate order through the Mi-CPID desktop application.
  • Download your approved certificate from the portal dashboard once it's ready.

Our desktop application handles communication with your device and automates the certificate writing process.

Credits & Payments

We currently accept cryptocurrency payments only. We support USDT (TRC-20 and BEP-20 networks) and other major cryptocurrencies. We do not accept credit cards, bank transfers, or PayPal at this time.

Cryptocurrency payments are processed automatically. Once your transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, credits are added to your account instantly.

Credits are the in-platform currency used to pay for certificate orders. Each certificate order costs a set number of credits depending on the service type and device model. Credits are deducted from your balance when an order is submitted and approved.

You can purchase credit packs in various sizes from your portal. Larger packs typically offer better value per credit.

Credits do not expire under normal circumstances. As long as your account is active and in good standing, your credit balance remains available indefinitely.

However, credits associated with accounts that have been suspended, banned, or inactive for an extended period (more than 24 months) may be forfeited. Please refer to our Terms of Service for full details.

Refunds for unused credits may be considered within 14 days of purchase at our discretion, provided no certificate services have been consumed. A processing fee may apply.

Credits consumed for approved or rejected orders are generally non-refundable, except where the rejection was due to an error on our part. To request a refund, please contact our support team through the Support page.

Cryptocurrency payments require a number of blockchain confirmations before they are credited. This typically takes between 5 and 30 minutes depending on the network and current congestion.

If your credits have not appeared after 60 minutes, please contact our support team with your transaction ID (TXID) and the amount sent. We will investigate and resolve the issue promptly.

Certificate Orders

Our standard delivery time is up to 48 hours from the time your order is submitted. In most cases, certificates are approved significantly faster — many orders are processed within a few hours during business hours.

Delivery times may be longer during peak periods or for unusual device configurations. You will receive a status update in your portal dashboard as soon as your certificate is ready.

Orders may be rejected for several reasons:

  • Incorrect or unverifiable IMEI submitted.
  • Device model mismatch (IMEI does not match the selected model).
  • Device flagged in our system for prior abuse or fraud.
  • Incomplete or corrupted data submitted by the desktop application.
  • The device is not in our supported model database.

A rejection reason is shown in your portal dashboard. If you believe the rejection was made in error, please contact support with your ticket number and we will review it.

Credits are refunded to your account balance if the rejection was caused by an error on our part (e.g., a processing fault or an issue with our system).

Credits are not refunded for rejections caused by incorrect data submitted by the user (wrong IMEI, wrong model, etc.). Please ensure you submit accurate information to avoid rejected orders.

Once your certificate is approved and made available, you can download it directly from your portal dashboard. Navigate to the "My Certificates" table, find your approved order, and click the Download button next to it.

The Mi-CPID desktop application can also automatically retrieve and write approved certificates directly to your device without manual download.

No. Each certificate is generated specifically for the device and IMEI submitted in your order. Using a certificate on a different device is not permitted and will violate our Terms of Service. A separate certificate order is required for each device.

Desktop Application

The Mi-CPID desktop application is a Windows tool designed for repair professionals. It connects to your Xiaomi device via ADB (Android Debug Bridge) or META mode, reads the necessary device data, submits the certificate order to our server automatically, and writes the approved certificate back to the device.

The application eliminates manual steps and reduces the chance of errors in the certificate process.

The Mi-CPID desktop application requires:

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit recommended)
  • USB drivers for your Xiaomi device (ADB drivers and MTK/Mediatek COM port drivers)
  • An active internet connection
  • An active Mi-CPID account with credits

The application does not require installation — it can be run as a standalone executable.

If the application is not detecting your device, check the following:

  • Ensure USB debugging is enabled on the device (for ADB mode).
  • Install the correct USB drivers for your device (ADB drivers for Android mode, COM port drivers for META mode).
  • Try a different USB cable — data cables, not charge-only cables, are required.
  • Try a different USB port on your computer.
  • Ensure no other software (e.g., other IMEI tools) is holding the COM port or ADB connection.
  • Restart the application and re-plug the device.
Account & Security

You can reset your password using the "Forgot Password" link on the login page. Enter your registered email address and we will send you a password reset link.

If you do not receive the email within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder. If you still have issues, contact our support team.

Credit transfers between regular user accounts are not supported at this time. Credits are tied to the account that purchased them.

Resellers and distributors have separate credit management capabilities for their sub-accounts. If you are a reseller and need to manage credits for sub-users, please contact support.

We work with authorised resellers who provide Mi-CPID services to their own customers. If you are interested in becoming a reseller, please contact us through the Support page with information about your business.

Reseller accounts have access to bulk credit purchasing, sub-user management, and API integration for automated order processing via DHRU-compatible panels.

Accounts may be suspended for violations of our Terms of Service, suspected fraudulent activity, repeated chargebacks, or submitting falsified device information.
